Fallingbrook Heights Baptist Church

The Church at the Centre is associated with the Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec. We offer a range of opportunities for people to grow in their understanding of faith, participate in service to both the local community and the world at large, and enjoy the friendship and fellowship of others committed to worshiping God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Programs include: Sunday School for all ages, youth programs under the direction of our youth worker, midweek and Friday evening Bible study and prayer; mid-week discussion groups and Young at Heart, a monthly lunch-and-program event for Seniors. We regularly feature "Heroes and Travelers", a look at past and present Christians, following Sunday morning worship. Our Ensemble welcomes new voices. In addition, we support a variety of other activities, both through funding and giving of time.

We believe in the value of partnerships and of interdenominational cooperation. Greater things can be accomplished for the Kingdom of God by people and organizations working together in partnership than by individuals or churches working alone. We partner with Birchmount Baseball League and SU Sports in a summer baseball camp for children and youth ages 7 to 14; with Birch Cliff Public School and Birchmount High School to provide individualized assistance to students; with four other churches from other denominations to support and operate Churches by the Bluffs Community Food Bank; with several churches from various denominations for Lenten luncheon services, Gethsemane night services, Good Friday and Easter Sunrise services, and a variety of Seniors events; and with other groups and organizations to undertaker specific projects.

We are people who live by faith. We believe that if we are faithful to God in our ministries, He will be faithful to us in our lives. The activities we undertake in His Name are ambitious and require a significant level of funding. More importantly, we believe that everything we have comes from God, so we encourage those who regularly attend our church to consider prayerfully offering back to God their time, talent and financial resources. In addition to accepting individual contributions to the ongoing expenses of the church, to Missions, or to our tape ministry, envelopes for weekly donations are also available. Direct deposit can also be arranged. Tax receipts are issued for donations of $10.00 or more.
