Let me say a very heartfelt thank you to the Fallingbrook church family for allowing me to act as the Missions Chair last year. This will be my last report in this position.

In 2008 we supported a number of Mission outreaches:
Chris and Sarah Jones, Ben Osei, Nation at Prayer, our local Food Bank, Operation Christmas Child ( the shoebox program - 35 boxes ) and our yearly support of the Canadian Baptist Ministries project in May, and the SU Sports/Birchmount Baseball league/ FHBC Baseball Camp. This camp provided a wonderful opportunity for some of our young people to lead the small group Bible studies and lead in prayer.

Our church is full of caring people who give generously to Missions. This year was a special one for Don and Joy Hepburn who self funded a trip to Rwanda. It was the experience of a lifetime. The church did support their trip in a small financial way through individual donations and daily prayer. Please check out their blog for a diary and pictures.

This trip set the stage for the 2009 trip to Kenya for a whole team from our church. Some money has been raised for this trip through the sale of the special CD of pictures compiled by Nick Scott.

Also, the church has pledged to support those going financially and prayerfully. God has and will continue to bless the Mission outreach programs of FHBC. Continue to pray to the Lord of the harvest and he will continue to bless all our Mission work.
