YABS (Young Adults Bible Study) has filled a much needed gap in the life of the church and become a regular (third Monday of the month) time for the young adults to gather and study the Bible.

Throughout the Winter/Spring of 2007 study consisted of a number of isolated passages (2 Cor 5; Phil; Zech 7-8) and also an interaction with Tom Wright’s Evil and the Justice of God. In the Fall of 2007 we focussed on a theme titled “The Story of God’s Involvement.”

So far we have looked at Creation (Gen 1-2); the Fall of Humanity (Gen 3); the Covenant and Monarchy (Gen 12, 15; Exod 19; 2 Sam 7; Ps 2); and the Warning, Punishment and Hope from the Prophets (1 Kgs 11-13; 2 Kgs 21; Ezek 37; Isa 52, 53, 61).

In the New Year we will focus on Jesus’ ministry; the Early Church; the Reformation; the development of Evangelicalism and some contemporary figures.
